Bybit Launches RWA Earn Portal: Tokenised Yields Come to Major Crypto Exchange

Last Updated: August 9, 2026

Contents

Bybit has launched an “RWA Earn” portal in partnership with Plume Network and DigiFT, giving eligible users access to tokenised yield products including instruments linked to PIMCO-managed fixed income.

The move signals that major crypto exchanges are increasingly bridging traditional finance yields with crypto infrastructure.

What’s Being Offered

The RWA Earn portal provides access to:

  • Tokenised fixed income – Including products linked to established asset managers
  • Structured yield products – Risk-adjusted returns from traditional assets
  • Stablecoin-denominated – Returns paid in USDC/USDT
  • Variable terms – Short and medium-term options available

The Partners

Bybit’s RWA initiative involves two key infrastructure partners:

Plume Network:

  • Purpose-built blockchain for RWA tokenisation
  • Focus on compliance and institutional requirements
  • Modular architecture for different asset classes

DigiFT:

  • Singapore-based tokenisation platform
  • Licensed under MAS regulatory framework
  • Specialises in institutional-grade digital securities

Why This Matters

Bybit ranks among the world’s largest crypto derivatives exchanges. Its entry into RWA distribution creates a significant new channel for tokenised products:

  • Massive user base – Millions of existing Bybit users
  • Established infrastructure – KYC, custody, trading systems
  • Global reach – Users across multiple jurisdictions
  • Liquidity potential – Integration with existing markets

Tax Considerations

For users accessing tokenised yields:

  • Interest income – Yields likely taxable as interest, not capital gains
  • Withholding tax – May apply depending on underlying asset domicile
  • Reporting obligations – Crypto exchange statements may not fully capture tax position
  • Currency conversion – Stablecoin-denominated returns require FX tracking
